Every time I prepare an Art of Science Fiction post, excitement ripples through me. I love sharing good art. It’s literally sharing the love. Today is no exception. Tomi Väisänen is yet another artist whose work not only generates excitement but also contains everything I love about science fiction.
He hails from Helsinki, Finland and is a 3D-generalist, compositor, CGI enthusiast, and all around fantastic artist.
Below is a small sampling of his art. Each image links to the corresponding gallery of origin. Enjoy!
I love his dystopian art. It shows a world that is not beautiful, but gritty and used up, and where the tech is solid and rustic. It’s a world where technology is secondary because priorities have changed.
Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
Cheers!
