Isaac Hannaford is a concept artist and freelance illustrator who has been working in the video game industry since 2003. Having led teams on Bungie’s Destiny and Halo: Reach, it makes sense why this talented artist is so sought after. His clients include Oculus/Facebook, Microsoft, 5th Cell, Dark Horse Comics, Simon & Schuster, Camouflaj, V1 Interactive, and Red Lens Games. Isaac lives in Seattle.
In his own words:
“I love problem-solving and beautiful design. I like telling a story with my work and I’m dedicated to the success of big picture objectives. I love working in games and being a part of dedicated teams. I am compelled to improve efficiency and communication processes. I want to build a vibrant and exciting universe and to create things that people want to work on and that people want to explore and play with.“
Below is a small sampling of the artist’s work. Apart from the concept designs here, I’ve added some Halo love at the bottom. Of course, as usual, each image links to the originating gallery. Enjoy!
With clean lines and vivid colors, Isaac’s designs are fresh and crisp. His personal ideas seem like they could exist in the not too far off future, given the similarities with current military aircraft design trends.

Cheers!
