My apologies for posting a day late. My reason for doing so is…well…let’s just say it’s earth shattering. As for our artist this week, she is simply brilliant.
She cofounded the visual development company, Wardenlight Studio, in 2013, and having done work for big names like Coca-Cola and Sony Picture Animation, hasn’t looked back since.
Below is a small selection of her work. Each of the images links back to the site of origin. Enjoy!
Sweeping landscapes with only a touch of sci-fi highlights the epic nature of these illustrations. It shows the potential science fiction as a genre holds, which, apart from the Star Wars franchise, you don’t really see in the movies. Hopefully, the upcoming Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets might inject some fresh new blood.
There are so many alien worlds and galaxies to explore. So many untold stories waiting to be told. It’s time for an awakening. It’s time for a sweeping saga of grand proportions, stretching countless worlds and populated with aliens from every stretch of the imagination.
Let me know in the comments which SF book or graphic novel you think Hollywood should adapt to the big screen. That is, apart from our Inlari universe, of course.
