Art of Science Fiction 061: Mark Chang

I just finished some stories set in the inlari universe and one of the tales mentions a tactical helmet worn by a human soldier. In another, I describe the armored suit of an inlari officer. So, with that in mind, I decided to concentrate today on futuristic designs with a slight focus on tactical helmets and battle suits.

Mark Chang is a concept artist from Taiwan and an incredible 3D designer and his science fiction art is phenomenal.

Below is a small collection for your visual pleasure. Each image links back to the site of origin. Enjoy!

Some of these designs look rather impractical and are mostly flash, but it’s a reminder that the future holds vast potential. The fact that the artist is talented and that his designs are seamless enough to remove any strain from pondering the possibilities is an added bonus that enhances the experience.

Cheers!
