Mikhail Rakhmatullin is a Russian freelance artist working in the entertainment industry. I’m featuring his work today, because, apart from it being obviously awesome, his style is quite memorable.
Below is a small sampling of this talented artist’s work. As in previous instances, each image links back to the site of origin. Enjoy!
I still remember how an artist’s style influenced whether I enjoyed a comic book fully. Although story kept me immersed, art had the ability to mesmerize me and I can still remember how some illustrators, just in the way they drew they their characters, had the ability to imbue a comic book with a very particular tone or ambiance.
I find that same thing tonal effect with Mikhail’s art. I love the angles and lines and the exaggerated posture of his character designs and his color palette is amazing.
Let me know what you thought.
Cheers!
