Eddie Del Rio is from San Francisco and works as a concept designer at Lucasfilm, and he is a brilliant artist.
He grew up in the 70s liking two things a lot: Star Wars and comic books. A trip to a mall one day and his eyes catching some Star War art mind-pummelled him onto the path that would eventually attract interest from Lucasfilm. After high school, Eddie attended the Academy of Art in San Francisco and during his Junior year there he was plucked from his classes by Lucas Arts. The rest is history, as they say.

Instead of following a set theme I thought it appropriate to show Eddie’s range. I love the clarity of his work and the vibrant colors. His paintings evoke excitement and awe and remind you why you love science fiction in the first place.
