This week’s “Art of Science Fiction” explores a recurring element in SF literature and that is metaphysical cosmology.
Anton Cherevan specialises in cosmological art that takes you from the science part deep into the realm of metaphysics. He is a freelance concept artist and illustrator from Ua, Ukraine, and, as you’ll soon see, his art is extraordinary.
Below is a small collection of the artist’s work. Each image links back to the originating gallery. Enjoy!
When I was a kid I used to dream of floating through space in a self-sustaining bubble in which I explored far-off galaxies and strange alien planets. Anton’s paintings remind me of that adolescent fantasy, a fantasy that never really disappeared.
Let me know your thoughts in the comments.
Enjoy!
