Svyatoslav Gerasymchuk is from the Ukraine and works as a professional freelance artist. He was formally trained in the fine arts at the Art Academy of Kiev. Svyatoslav has worked as a lead concept and 3D artist for some of the top design studios out there. He loves traveling and never stays more than a couple of years in one place. At one stage he ended up captaining a yacht across the Adriatic while creating art in his customized onboard studio.
What I like about science fiction is the idea of unknown planets and star systems and intergalactic travel. I love searching for and discovering new and mysterious alien planets populated with weird fauna and flora. An artist who can capture that sense of wonder and awe throws the doors to your imagination wide open, adding fuel to what you’ve already created in your mind. And Svyatoslav is wholly successful at precisely doing just that.

Next week we’ll be going old-school again when we feature another sci-fi legend. Chances are, you’ll recognize him if I mention his name. Or maybe you won’t. I can guarantee you’ve certainly seen his work before.
See you then.

Featuring PK Tyler, Woelf Dietrich, Jessica West, and M. J. Kelley
Their home world is gone, their planet cut from existence. They traveled eons searching for a new home. But their new home, Earth, was already taken. From quiet stories of longing and love to tales of tragic nuclear war and brutal inter-species conflict, these narratives portray sometimes startling snapshots of a new universe with the intensity and delicacy that only flash fiction can convey. Each author's unique stories enrich the shared, singular vision of a science fiction saga that is just beginning.
